Common threads is accepting donations for Lamar CISD

Donations may be dropped off at any of the following locations:

Residents, churches, businesses and groups interested in helping the cause can contact Jill Davis at jduban@lcisd.org or 832-223-0342.

The Jane Long Gym will be open 1-5 p.m., Mondays through Thursdays, beginning June 13 and running through June 30, for distribution. There will be limits on the amount distributed to each family.

There are now three American Red Cross shelters operating in the Lamar CISD area.

Simonton/Valley Lodge Red Cross Shelter: Bible Fellowship Baptist Church, 1214 FM 359N, Brookshire, 281-375-5001; 
Richmond/Rosenberg Red Cross Shelter: First Baptist Church Richmond, 502 South Fifth Street, Richmond, 281-342-8664; and
River Pointe Church in Richmond, 5000 Ransom Rd., (281) 277-6767.

Those with flood-related needs are urged to call the American Red Cross at 1-866-526-8300.

The Fort Bend County Office of Emergency Management urges all groups organizing to help victims to register at  crisiscleanup.org. Registering makes it easier coordinate  clean up efforts when the time comes. Crisis Cleanup will match volunteers with homeowners. 
 

Survivors needing assistance with home cleanup may call 1-800-451-1954, which will connect them with a volunteer which will connect homeowners with reputable and vetted relief agencies that will assist in mud-outs, debris removal and cleaning homes. Service are free, but due to demand, may take time.

The Information Technology Disaster Resource Center and VisionLink are staffing the hotline through July 1.
