It’s 2016, and while carving out a moment of peace for prayer isn’t technicallyimpossible, it’s certainly a challenge. This holds especially true for Catholic young adults, who often find themselves being pulled in multiple directions with new obligations from family, friends, and careers. Luckily, Susan Conroy is returning to EWTN with an all-new miniseries aimed at providing these much needed moments of spiritual respite in “Coming to Christ: Young Adults and the Church.” (Premiering at 6:30 p.m. ET, Monday, June 6)
Fans of Susan’s Conroy’s 2013 mini-series, “Coming to Christ: Resting in His Love” will recognize the scenic coast of Maine behind their familiar host, but that’s all that remains the same. After a brief introductory segment, Conroy invites various young adult Catholics to provide their own refreshing take on topics. As young lay, clergy, married and single Catholics weigh in on scripture, the saints, suffering, and the Blessed Virgin, they also recount real life experiences in which their faith was strengthened by surrendering to quiet moments of prayer.
Despite being targeted at young adults, there are many wonderful insights Catholics of all ages can enjoy in Susan Conroy’s new series. If you can find thirty minutes during the week for some much needed quiet time, it’s definitely worth a listen.
