Saint Faustina Feast Day Celebration
Saturday. October 4
We will celebrate our first Feast Day as a parish with a family picnic Saturday, October 4, after the 5:00pm mass. The back parking lot of the school will be converted into a social gathering spot for us all, young and old alike, to foster the communal life of the parish and give recognition to our patroness, St. Faustina (Feast day is Oct. 5).
Sponsored by: Family Faith Formation Ministry Team
The Family Faith Formation Ministry Team is eager to provide monthly gatherings, centered in the liturgical seasons and events of the life of the Church in order to deepen and sustain the personal and communal faith of all.
Our first monthly initiative, St. Faustina Feast Day Picnic Celebration, calls for your support, energy and love for Christ and his Church as we focus on communal life.
All are welcome! We look forward to spending some social together and meeting our fellow parishioners.
The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) issued an important document called Our Hearts Were Burning which outlined the lifelong aspect of faith formation. It is essential that each member of our community, by means of one’s baptism, understand his or her call to actively foster the six tasks of catechesis which includes communal life. We have been doing a great job in the area of liturgical life, as we participate in the mass each week, bringing our lives, prayer and faith. It is through the vitality of the parish community that the credibility of Christian witness is communicated to others.
