The beginning of the New Year has been a time for me to consider, as your pastor, ways in which we can strengthen our parish community, our connection to one another and to the Lord. To that end, I am happy to introduce you to our very first online newsletter, which I hope will be one way - among many - to invite you to enter further into the life of our parish.
In upcoming issues, we will spotlight how parishioners and staff are growing in their relationship with the Lord and invite you to do the same. By getting to know the brothers and sisters in Christ who may only be familiar faces from exchanging the Sign of Peace and getting a closer look at our many ministries and activities, we will strengthen our community and our faith. My goal is to foster a parish culture that prioritizes relationships, increases your involvement in the many aspects of our parish, and ultimately for our parish to be a light in our community that reflects the light of Christ.
I think that our faith in Christ is strengthened when we are deeply rooted in a parish culture in which every member is valued. In the upcoming year I will be asking you to reflect on your talents, skills, and even hope that you can bring that vision to our parish and immerse yourself in service to others. I fully expect that your involvement in parish life will increase your own faith and the faith of those around you.
