Deacon Ernie Abadejos
Ordained as permanent deacon in February 1999 by then Bishop Joseph Fiorenza
at St. Justin Martyr Catholic Church and
was assigned at Notre Dame Catholic Church since then.
A mechanical and industrial engineer by profession, he retired as senior project
engineer at NASA’s space program. A 4th degree member of the Knights of
Columbus, he served as a grand knight of KC Council at St. Justin Martyr Church.
He is presently spiritual director of the Southwest Houston Curia of the Legion of
Mary.
Married for 48 years to Paz Bago Abadejos, a teacher and a graduate nurse, who
retired 13 years ago to care for her 7 grandchildren and assist Deacon Ernie in his
diaconate ministry. She has been a lector, extraordinary minister of Holy
Communion, marriage counselor and sponsor couple/ wedding coordinator.
Their union is blessed with two daughters: Pauline, a nurse instructor married to
Dr. Brian Tremaine with 3 children; and Jocelyn, a nutrition instructor married to
computer system engineer Rick Aventurado with 4 children.
Highlight of Deacon Ernie’s ministry is his going to Rome in 2007 where he
served as deacon of the altar at the 1st Mass of Cardinal DiNardo in the Basilica
Maria Maggiore with Father Dat Hoang as the Master of Ceremony.

Deacon Randy Graham
Deacon Randy was ordained a permanent deacon on January 26, 2013 by His Eminence Daniel Cardinal DiNardo at the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston and was assigned to St. John Vianney parish where Randy and his family had been parishioners for 37 years.
A native of Los Angeles, California, Randy and his wife, Irene, and their children moved to Houston in 1978. A human resources executive for over 40 years, Randy spent most of that time in the financial services industry and is currently the Associate Vice President for Human Resources at the University of St. Thomas.
Deacon Randy has been married for over 45 years to Irene Graham, his childhood sweetheart who were next door neighbors when Randy was twelve years old. Randy and Irene have four grown children, Lisa, Christina, Jason, and Rick and four grandchildren, Ryan, Tyler, Graham, and Paige. They have lived in the Katy area for over 35 years. Lisa and Rick, their daughter and son-in-law, are dentists in the Katy area and Lisa is the president of a non-profit organization, Autism Rescue Angels. Christina and Jason, their daughter and son, live in Portland, Oregon.
Randy, over the years at St. John Vianney, has served as President of the Pastoral Council, CCE teacher, Coordinator of Children’s Liturgy, Director of the Ministry to the Sick, member of the ACTS core team and That Man Is You, and a member of the RCIA team. He is currently a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus.
