Ministry Description ACTS Retreats offer parishioners an opportunity to experience the love of Jesus Christ and deepen their faith in our Lord in a retreat setting. Adoration See the 'Upper Room Ministy' below. Altar Servers We all know what an Altar Server does, right? Boys and girls in fifth grade or higher are invited to join, and Fr. Christopher will train you. Arts and Environment The Art and Environment ministry prepares the weekly church environment for worship that will mediate the presence of God. Baptism Preparation The Baptism Ministry prepares families for the sacrament of baptism, welcomes families to the parish, introduces families to resources on parenting, supports parents through the baptismal process, and assists at baptismal celebrations. Bereavement Ministry The Bereavement Ministry meets with the bereaved family to offer support and guidance and helps families coordinate all funeral arrangements. Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion Join this ministry if you would like to assist in the distribution of Holy Communion, either during the Mass, or taking the Eucharist to the sick and the homebound. Faith Formation The role of a Catholic catechist is to teach the Catholic faith by both word and example. Our CCE -- RCIA program is among the largest in the Diocese, and we need a lot of help. Greeters See the 'Mass Hospitality Ministries' below. Grief Share Ministry Grief Share seminars and support groups are led by people who understand the challenges faced by people who have lost a loved one. If you are a good listener with a caring heart who has previously lost a loved one, we need you to walk the grief journey
with hurting people. Nobody should have to grieve alone and forgotten!Hospitality See the 'Mass Hospitality Ministries' below. HANDE HANDE stands for Handyman Assistance Network for the Disabled & Elderly. This ministry is dedicated to repairing homes for the elderly and disabled in our parish. This ministry restored many homes after Hurricane Harvey and the 'Big Freeze' storm. Healing Prayer This ministry organizes Healing Mass and offers prayers to those suffering physically and spiritually. Job Search Ministry Members of this ministry provide training, assistance, opportunities, encouragement, and spiritual guidance for unemployed, underemployed, or those in a career transition. Knights of Columbus This ministry is dedicated to promoting and conducting educational, charitable, religious and social welfare works, rendering mutual aid and assistance to the sick and needy
members and families.Laborers for Jesus This ministry dusts and cleans the church every Friday morning. No experience is needed, and all are welcome. Lectors The minsters in this ministry are properly discerned and trained to proclaim the scriptures at Mass. Loving Embrace Through merciful service, this ministry will bear witness and live our Catholic faith by providing spiritual and corporal needs for the community, igniting God's love in others. The ministry provides meals, delivery assistance and prayer support to those in need due to an adverse life event. Marriage Preparation This ministry helps engaged couples develop a better understanding of the sacrament, evaluate and deepen their readiness to live a married life and gain insights into themselves as individuals and as a couple. Married couples are needed to mentor the engaged couples in their preparation. Mass Hospitality Ministries: Ushers, Greeters, Hospitality Ushers help people be seated at Mass, assist those with disabilities, collect the offertory, and assist in the flow of communion. Ushers and Greeters are the face of our community,
the first official representative of the church that people meet when they arrive. We have a lot of openings at all Masses. Please sign up to be the face of Saint Faustina.MOM’s - Mothers of Mercy This ministry is committed to supporting and affirming Catholic mothers through opportunities for spiritual growth, friendship, and service to the community. Music Ministry Everyone loves to sing, and Music brings people together and to God. Please join us if you enjoy singing or play an instrument. Outreach Ministry This ministry reaches out to those who need help, physically and emotionally and guides them to the right resource. Prayer Blanket Ministry This ministry sews blankets to be given away to those who need physical or emotional healing, praying for the unknown ultimate recipient as they work, and then continuing prayer for the known recipient once the blanket is given away. Join this beautiful
ministry to bring comfort to the sick while sharing fellowship and fun! No sewing experience is required!Prison Visitation This ministry provides Mass, reconciliation, scripture classes, prayer services, communion services, rosary groups, pastoral counseling, and sacramental preparation through RCIA to inmates interested in these services. RCIA This ministry teaches Catholicism to adults who want to learn our faith. Sponsors are needed to accompany each RCIA candidate on their journey. Respect Life Join this ministry to pray and take action to help end abortion and euthanasia. Rosary Makers This ministry makes rosaries, prays the rosary, gives rosaries away, and promotes the praying of the rosary. SAINTS Ministry SAINTS (Seniors Always Interested in New Things) is a St. Faustina ministry open to all individuals who are 55 and over. Our mission is to foster spiritual growth and fellowship and to further involve seniors in parish life. Monthly events and occasional field trips offer opportunities for the SAINTS community to gather together. Our goal is that you will make new friends, learn something new, and leave with a smile on your face as we come together sharing the love and mercy of Jesus. Upper Room - Eucharistic Adoration Ministry The ministers of this ministry are adorers of the Eucharist. The ministry promotes and coordinates the adoration of the Eucharist during adoration hours at the church. Ushers See the 'Mass Hospitality Ministries' above. Vocations - Traveling Chalice Ministry This ministry promotes prayers for vocations within the parish by coordinating families to take a traveling chalice into their home for a week of guided prayer. Women of Mercy Women of Mercy is a spiritual, social, & service-oriented ministry.
