Summer Music Camp

Every year, we host a week-long music camp for children to enjoy making music for the Church and grow in their faith.
 

There will not be a Music Camp in 2024

Schedule:

Monday- Friday from 9 am - 12 pm Noon 
Cost - $40 per camper (Ppen to rising 3rd graders to rising 9th graders)
Snacks will be provided.
Culminates in a one-hour performance at 11 am on the last Friday of the Camp. 
 

The Summer Music Camp goals are to:

• Invest in the young singers and musicians at our parish

• Introduction to liturgical music 

• Have fun making music for the Church

During the camp, we will focus on the following:

• Vocal workshop

  • Teach vocal exercises and warm-ups, which lay the foundation of the singers' vocal abilities.

  • Learn and practice the music 

• Instrument workshop (must have three years of experience) 

  • Learn to be part of an ensemble 

  • Improve accompaniment skills

  • Practice all the music for the Mass

  • Includes: piano, woodwind, guitar, strings, and percussion 

• Gain an understanding of the responsibilities the choir has in the Mass

• Games, crafts, fun, and fellowship

  • Games with a focus on enhancing their music knowledge and skills
