Parents in Fulshear and all around us are busy taking all the necessary steps to prepare children to go back to school. We want to help the children of our parish start the school year with their minds and hearts focused on Jesus.
Take a break from shopping and doctor’s appointments to join us at St. Faustina’s Annual Back to School Bash on August 21st from 5:30-7:30 pm. There will be food, Kona Ice, and games. Don’t forget to bring your bookbags because at 6:30 we will gather in front of the church for the Blessing of the Backpacks. Students and teachers will receive this special blessing for the new school year. Another highlight of this fun-packed night is that the elementary and junior high Home Study books will be available for pick up.
Gwen Perrenot, our Faith Formation Administrative Assistant, believes the Back to School Bash is an essential activity for families, “The Back to School Bash reminds both children and parents that along with learning math and reading, it is important to make time to learn the faith during the school year. This event shows children that even when we are busy preparing and planning, we should set aside time to be actively involved with our parish community.”
Come, join us at the Back to School Bash! Bring old friends and new as we have fun and pray together while reconnecting after the long summer break. Fill your child with the love and protection of Jesus for the 2019-20 school year!
