Dcn. Carlos Hernandez

Deacon Carlos was ordained a permanent deacon on February 18, 2023, by His Eminence Daniel Cardinal DiNardo at the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston.
He is a Venezuelan who emigrated in 2005 to the USA with his wife, Mary. They have a daughter named Mia. He is a Petroleum Engineer by degree and integrates his time between family, work, and ministry. Deacon Carlos refers to himself as a warrior; his passion is to be on the battlefield helping the wounded and sharing the good news of the Gospel. He is very committed to helping people understand and live the words of St John Paull II: Faith and reason are like two wings upon which the human spirit rises to the contemplation of truth.
