I was born and raised in a small farming community of St. Joseph, Mo. I am the 10th of 11 children. Following graduation from high school and 2 years at a junior college, I served in the Marine Corps as an electronic technician from 1968 to 1972. In 1967, I met the girl that I would spend the rest of my life with. Helen and I were married in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Memphis, Tennessee on February 14, 1970. We celebrated our 55th wedding anniversary only days ago. We have two sons, Brian and Alex. Both are married and we have 5 grandchildren. In the mid 1990’s, I entered the permanent diaconate program for our Archdiocese. I was ordained February 06, 1999, and assigned to Notre Dame Church in Southwest Houston. My duties while serving at Notre Dame were to develop different programs associated with family life. I have been a part of various ministries including baptism and marriage preparation as well as assisting individuals with marriage annulments among other duties assigned to me. We moved from the city of Houston to Fulshear in late 2017. I continued to serve the people of Notre Dame until recently. I am grateful to Fr. Dat for accepting my application to serve the parish of St. Faustina. I thank God for this opportunity, and I look forward to being a part of this great parish and its people.
